Mini-Systems, Inc., (MSI), Thin Film Division, has again been recognized by NGST as a “GOLD” Supplier. MSI has earned NGST’s highest rating of “GOLD” for the third consecutive year.
In order to be a recipient of NGST’s highest award, suppliers must maintain an increased level of product quality and on-time delivery of 99%, increased from the 2005 standard percentage which was set at 98%. From among approximately 1,000 vendors, MSI was one of only 71 suppliers to receive the 2006 “GOLD” Supplier Award. “Our ‘GOLD’ Suppliers are critical to the spacecraft we build and to the lives they save,” said Charlie Heckrotte, NGST’s Material Director.
NGST’s theme this year was “Raising the Bar on Supplier Performance”, where they want to increase the number of Gold Suppliers and reduce the number of Red Suppliers.
